Miladomus Music School organized a Master Class and Concert titled ‘Denting 100 Kecapi’ (Guzheng) in collaboration with Shanghai, the Indonesia China Institute, and Metro TV. This event celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the Guzheng, bringing together renowned musicians and enthusiasts from Indonesia and China. Participants had the opportunity to learn from distinguished Guzheng masters in a unique Master Class, exploring technique and interpretation. The Concert showcased the instrument’s beauty through captivating performances by both local and international artists, fostering cultural exchange and highlighting strong bonds between Indonesia and China in music and arts.
Thailand: In 2019, Miladomus Music School proudly represented Indonesia at ‘The 45th International Council for Traditional Music World Conference,’ held at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand from July 11th to 17th. As ambassadors of Indonesian culture and music, our delegation showcased the rich musical traditions of our country to an international audience. Through performances, workshops, and presentations, we shared our passion for traditional Indonesian music, fostering cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.
Taiwan: Furthermore, in December of the same year, we embarked on a cultural exchange initiative to Taiwan, bringing the spirit of Indonesian music to audiences across the island. With the Miladomus team, we journeyed to Taichung on December 16th and Jia Yi on December 18th, where we performed concerts that featured a blend of Indonesian and Taiwanese musical elements. These concerts served as platforms for cultural dialogue and exchange, strengthening ties between Indonesia and Taiwan through the universal language of music.

In 2020, Miladomus initiated various online challenges for students of guzheng and other instruments from around the world fostering collaboration with Miladomus instructors. This endeavor was especially significant amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, aiming to sustain Peranakan cultural heritage by providing a platform for online learning and engagement, thereby ensuring continuity and enthusiasm among students despite the challenging circumstances.
